DVD Hunter is an excellent application which allows you to organize and view your DVD collection in a far more organized and intuitive way.
DVD Hunter can catalog, sort, and organize your movie collection as well as query online databases to retrieve information about your favorite movies. DVD Hunter retrieves information by querying online databases (which ones is not clear) and uses an attractive iTunes-like interface to display DVD info and covers.
The application is completely integrated with your Mac Dashboard so if you want to add some details about a film into iCal or an upcoming release, you can do so very easily. In addition, DVD Hunter can also preview up and coming films although this is nowhere near as good or comprehensive as Apple's FrontRow. There doesn't seem to be an option to export to Excel however which would be useful to store a backup list of your films.
Overall, the look and feel of DVD Hunter is first class and if you love iTunes, then you'll probably really appreciate what it has to offer.
